When I read this blog post, I got the idea of combining kanoko (tied) shibori with ice cube dying. Ice cubes because snow is not there and ice cubes are available in the store :-). Luckily I have a big supply of buttons and after some time my fq looked like this:
I soaked the fabric and placed it in a glass vase, sprinkled dye powder over it (avocado, alpine blue and black), topped it up with ice cubes till it was like this:
