And finally this quilt is completed. A couple of years ago I bought a book
'African Signs' by Rob Floor and Gert van Zanten which is all about the hand painted signs or advertisements you find everywhere in Africa. One of those signs inspired me to make this quilt. It will never go to a show, but I love it. The first lay out I started in 2011 and since then it spend quite some time waiting for it's turn. I have a couple of quilts I work on in between other projects. Only commercial fabrics were used for this one. Size is 37"x 40,5". I am still in doubt if I should add some flowers in the lower areas. What do you think?
