(self)portrait

A couple of days ago I showed here the first try of a (self)portrait. It evolved into this after some tweaking and tips from Pamela. Size is 23"x38". I had so much fun making this that I worked on it till it was completed. For the class it was sufficient to have the design glued. Techniques used for this piece were free style cutting, raw edge applique and free motion quilting.
The pictures here show some detail of the quilting:

If you want to work outside your box and have a lot of fun, I advice you to take this class. On this link you can find more info: http://www.quilterskeeplearning.com/classes.html

Wow Wil! How awesome! Looks like you are having a blast with this class. I am so tempted to do the angelina class, that would have my portfolio finished for the surfacing swap. (g)
